The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Monday, August 3, 2020, registered for the voter ID card at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
She was accompanied by his wife, Lady Julia, who also registered for the card, and the chiefs.
Also accompanying him was the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, Ashanti Regional EC and KMA officials.
Asantehene was wore nose mask, his temperature was checked, washed his hands under running water before sanitizing of the hands.
He was welcomed by the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC), went through the registration process and finally issued with the card.
After the registration, Asantehene, beaming with amiles, showed his card to the people around.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Skin Osei Mensah, who accompanied the Asantehene, urged all eligible Ghanaian voters who has not registered to seize the last phase of the registration exercise to register.
He also urged to follow the coronavirus safety protocols during the exercise .
