A/R: Suspected thief lynched to death at Apatrapa-Pokukrom

A man in his 30s has allegedly been murdered at Apatrapa-Pokukrom in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti region.

The yet-to-be-identified man was found dead around 5:00 a.m today, August 9, 2021.

Part of the deceased head had been damaged when found while some bruises were found on his body.

According to the Unit Committee Chairman on the ground, Mr. Martin Acheampong who spoke to otecnews on Monday August 9, 2021, said he woke up this morning only to see the lifeless body in the community on the roadside.

He said the deceased is unknown in the area and suspects he had been murdered somewhere by his assailants and dumped in the area.

Mr Acheampong complained that they have been a sudden hike of armed robbery cases in the area.

Some residents also disclosed that, they suspect the deceased to be a thief but luck eluded him this dawn when he attempted to rob in the area.

Three unused cartridges, langa, bansere, short knife were found on him.

He was beating mercilessly with sticks, stoned and stabbed multiple times to death.
