I’ll lead to get NDC members to vote for us in 2024 – Asabee assures

Hon Stephen Asamoah Boateng, NPP national chairman hopeful.

Stephen Asamoah Boateng, NPP national chairman hopeful says he will use his positive influence to woo front line members of the NDC to the fold of the NPP when he wins the upcoming National Chairmanship contest.

According to him, the NDC attests that the NPP governs better when it is in power.

This, he noted is the basis of his hopes to get more NDC members into the fold of the NPP when he becomes National Chairman.

Speaking to this reporter in Kumasi at the National delegates conference held at the Heroes Park last Sunday, Hon Boateng said the NPP with its members alone can’t win power to govern.

“As a student of politics and a grassroots person I know by ourselves as NPP we can’t win power but would need support from members of other parties to do so”, Hon Asabee posited.

STRATEGY:

Mr Boateng said the Ghanaian wants a party with vision, noting the NPP represents same.

But to woo many Ghanaians from other political parties to the NPP, a strategist would be needed.

This, he noted, makes him ideal to lead that movement to woo people from other parties to the NPP.

“I am confident that by deploying proper communication and getting a good combination of grassroots skills and energy we can woo many Ghanaians especially the youthful elements into our party”, the former SIGA boss intimated.

GRASSROOT WORK:

Mr Boateng, a former Information Minister said his strategy is to sell the message of the NPP to the Ghanaian public.

He noted that the best pivot would be using technical and grassroot techniques to undertaking such a task.

Mr Boateng said when the grassroots see that their views and concerns have been taken on board they would work to make their party visible to the electorate in their localities.

“I am presenting myself to the delegates of the NPP as their own who has been in the grassroots for over 40 years and can adequately and appropriately identify with their needs and move with them for a solution  or resolution of challenges they may have”, the National chairman hopeful intimated.
