6 people sustain gun shot in Ada over Songor salt project

Six persons have sustained several gun shots this morning at Toflokpo, and Salom, communities in Ada for alledgedly preventing Electrochem Gh. Ltd. a company believed to be owned by McDan a renowned business man in Accra.

Sources from the community indicated that a group of surveyors who had come from Accra yesterday to work on portions of land leased to the company ie. Electrochem Gh.Ltd by the Government of Ghana were whisked away by the youth of the community.

The company this morning is alledged to have transported land guards from Accra to ward off the indegines from tresspassing on the lands acquired by Electrochem. Information gathered so far indicates that six people have sustained sounds and are currently receiving treatment at the Ada hospital.
