Akwatia Technical Institute Student Stabs Teacher
A form two student of the Akwatia Technical Institute in the Eastern region has been arrested after he stabbed his teacher with a scissors.
The student committed the crime after the teacher, instructed him to stop loitering about after break time.
The victim who sustained life threatening wound is receiving medical treatment at the Akwatia Hosiptal.
Parents of the student have been summoned by school authorities over the incident. Reports indicate that the student got agitated after the teacher asked him to stop loitering about and get to his class.
An official of the school who spoke to Starr Today on condition of anonymity stated that the student was arrested by the students after the incident and handed over to the Police.
He added that the teacher is currently responding to treatment. He described the incident as unfortunate adding that severe disciplinary action will be taken against the student.
The Police have since commenced investigations into the incident.
