NUGS Inaugurates UK Administration; Appoints First Female President
Under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Mr Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel, the 57th administration of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) continues to break new ground to empower Ghanaian students worldwide.
Following the successful launch of NUGS-USA in February, the administration has inaugurated NUGS-UK, marking a historic appointment of its first female President in the person of Stephanie Ofori Prempeh.
The online inauguration event, hosted by the NUGS President, Mr Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel and his Secretary for International Relations, Mr. Joshua Nakpri, witnessed the induction of the first-ever executive team for NUGS-UK.
Appointments:
Appointed as NUGS UK President was Stephanie Ofori Prempeh, who previously served as the SRC General Secretary of KNUST, Miracule Daniel Gavor, General Secretary, Alexander Owusu Ansah, Secretary for Press.
Other appointments were Her Lordship Anarfi – Secretary for Women’s Development, Prince Sarfo Boakye, Secretary for Programs & Projects, Solomon Kofi Antwi, Secretary for Finance, and Kwesi Christus, Secretary for International Relations.

This significant event saw the induction of the first-ever NUGS-UK executive team, poised to lead and support Ghanaian students across the United Kingdom.
Mr Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel remarked, “The launch of NUGS-UK is not just a milestone; it’s a movement towards greater unity and empowerment for Ghanaian students.
“Our administration is committed to fostering environments where our students can excel both academically and personally”, the NUGS President stated.
The 57th NUGS administration, the President noted has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to collaborating with and empowering Ghanaian students around the globe, he noted.

The President emphasized that by establishing international blocs such as NUGS-USA and now NUGS-UK, the administration aims to create a cohesive and supportive network for students in the diaspora.
To him, these blocs are crucial for effective administration, advocacy, and representation of Ghanaian students’ interests on the international stage.
The appointment of Stephanie Ofori Prempeh as the first female President of NUGS-UK, Mr Kyeremeh said was testament to the administration’s dedication to promoting gender equality and supporting women’s development.
This milestone reflects the broader objectives of NUGS under Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel’s leadership to foster inclusive and progressive student leadership.

Looking ahead, the President stressed that the 57th NUGS administration is committed to further expanding its international presence.
He disclosed that plans are already underway for the establishment of NUGS-France and NUGS-Canada, with announcements expected in the near future.
These efforts, he buttressed are aimed at ensuring that Ghanaian students everywhere have access to robust support networks and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
