We’ll Fix Your Roads-Dr Bawumia Assures Kwabre Chiefs

The Vice President of the Republic and flag-bearer of the NPP, Dr Mahamodu Bawumia has assured the Chiefs and people of Kwabre that roads in the community would soon be fixed.

Addressing the Chiefs and people at th3 Kenyase palace during his third day of campaign in Ashanti, the Veep conceded that some of the roads in the area were in deplorable state.

The Vice President noted that it was not surprising that residents including the Chiefs were praying that they are fixed immediately.

“I’ve seen your roads and i promise you that it’ll soon be fixed and since you’ve shown so much support to this government and the NPP i believe it will be in order because you give us the highest number of votes”, the Veep noted.


Nana Fredua Agyeman Ababio, the Chief of Kenyase thanked the Vice President for the assurance.

He noted that visiting them alone early morning showed a genuine commitment to fulfilling the promise made to them.

He prayed for God’s guidance and  strength for the Vice President to campaign as he seeks the mandate of the people to become President of the Republic in 2025.

“We will support you with prayer and others so that you can work on our roads and many other things you intend doing to bring development to the country”, Nana Fredua stated.

Mamponteng Chief:

Barima Saase II, the Chief of Mamponteng welcoming the Veep to his palace expressed unhappiness about the area’s access routes and roads.

He noted that the communities under Kwabre would however hold on to the promise of development including the construction of the market in the town.

Earlier Visits:

The Vice President, earlier in the day, visited the Opoku Ware School to distribute about 4,300 tablets to students at the famous Kumasi school.

Accompanied by the Education Minister, the Veep said the presentation was the first phase of the project to distribute tablets to all Senior High School students across Ghana.

The Vice President also visited the agenda 111 site at Saaman in the Kwabre Municipality where the hospital project was ongoing.
