The Assemblyman for the Mempeasem Electoral Area, Abu Hassan, raised concerns over the recent spate of murder cases that has engulfed the community.
Describing the situation as serious and alarming, Abu Hassan expressed concern over the increasing number of new residents in the community, suggesting that these new residents could be behind the gruesome murders.
According to Abu Hassan, cases of this nature have been recorded within three months, putting fear in residents. All the murders, he revealed, happened in different locations in the town.
He therefore called on the security agencies and government to reinforce police personnel to provide maximum security and patrol in the town.
