Let’s unite and respect the grassroots people to break the 8 – Ken Agyapong to NPP executives

Former presidential candidate aspirant for the New Patriotic Party, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has charged leadership and executives of the party to begin a reconciliation with grieved members especially those at the grassroots to enable the party break the 8 year record of holding political power in Ghana.

According to the Outgoing Assin Central Member of Parliament, the breaking the 8 mantra can not be achieved with mete talks but rather a strong united front devoid of anger and grievances among the rank and file of the party.

Speaking on behalf of other presidential candidate aspirants during the party’s flagbearership race, Hon. Agyapong urged party leadership and all executives to begin an internal house to house campaign and reconciliation to address perceived anger in some of the members.

“There are members who might have been offended by others within the party and all those people matters and are needed to enable us win this year’s election ” he told the mammoth crowd who gathered at the Kumasi Jubilee Park for the outdoor of the NPP’s Presidential candidate Dr. Mahmud Bawumia and his running Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

He however urged all members to also put their differences aside and work together for the party as the time for unity in now.
