Asantehene Marks 25th Anniversary with Massive Free Health Screening

The Asantehene, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has organized a massive free health screening for thousands of people at the Manhyia Palace.

The event, led by the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, aimed to improve the health status of people in the country and marked the renowned monarch’s 25 years anniversary on the Golden Stool.

The health screening, supported by OKB Foundation, Ghana Health Service (GHS), International Healthcare Volunteers, and other local and international groups, offered checks for chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, breast cancer, and prostate cancer.

Speaking at the event, Otumfuo Hiahene, Nana Professor Oheneba Boachie-Adjei, commended the Asantehene for the initiative, noting its potential to improve the health status of chiefs and residents in the region.

He praised all participants and partners involved in the screening.

Dr. Jennifer Adu Frimpong, an Emergency Medicine Physician from the USA, thanked the partners for joining the exercise, emphasizing the importance of early detection and treatment of chronic diseases.
