Power Chapel Worldwide Presents 100k Towards KATH Renovation Project, Pays Bills Of Patients

The Power Chapel Worldwide Church, a Charismatic Church whose headquarters is in Kumasi on Saturday presented a cheque of One Hundred Thousand (GhC 100, 000) cedis towards the Renovation Project at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
The church also paid GHC50, 000.00 for the release of over 30 patients who have been at the hospital as a result of their inability to pay their bills.
Speaking at a brief presentation ceremony on, Mrs Anita Kusi Boateng, wife of the General Overseer of Power Chapel Worldwide said the presentation by the church was part of the birthday present of their leader who turned a year older on Saturday to KATH.
“Today marks the birthday of my husband Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng and the church decided to make this donation to KATH Management and patients on his behalf and to show to the world that we are fulfilling scripture as commanded by Christ Jesus”, Mrs Kusi-Boateng stressed.

Touring the hospital labour wards later, the Power Chapel Worldwide team prayed for the discharged but needy patients.
The team also prayed for staff and workers at the hospital .
Pastor Laud Moffat, one of the assistants of the General Overseer told newsmen that the church exists to take care of the needy and the poor in society.
Mrs Mansah-Mensah Esq, leading Member of Power Chapel Worldwide in an interview said the church was committed to fulfilling the great commission of Christ Jesus which is to preach the Gospel to people, take care of the needy and to visit prisoners.

Receiving the cheque for the KATH Renovation Project, Samuel Ankomah (PhD), Health Services Administrator at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department thanked the church for the donation.
He also commended the leadership of the church for paying for the release of the patients who were unable to pay their bills.
The Administrator urged other churches, organisations as well as other meaning Ghanaians to emulate the gesture by Power Chapel Worldwide.
“We are grateful to the General Overseer of Power Chapel Worldwide for this gesture and we are happy that he continues to lead to take care of patients at this hospital and we pray that the public as well as other organisations would learn from the church by donating towards the Heal KATH project” the Administrator appealed.
