The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has praised the Frimpong-Manso Institute for its crucial role in ensuring peaceful elections.
According to the EC, the institute’s timely advice and advocacy for peace before, during, and after the elections yielded positive results.
Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensah, expressed her gratitude while declaring the 2024 presidential results, which saw former President John Dramani Mahama emerge as the winner.
Mensah also commended other stakeholders, including the police, local and international observers, media, clergy, and sister states, for their unwavering support in promoting a peaceful election.
The Frimpong-Manso Institute has been actively engaged in promoting peace and transparency in Ghana’s electoral process.
The institute has called for calm and transparency ahead of elections, urging stakeholders to work together to ensure a peaceful and credible process.
