International Happiness Day: Money and good health top happiness chart for men in Kumasi

Some men in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region have revealed that money and good health are the top factors that bring them happiness.

According to them, the presence of money in their lives brings joy.

The International Day of Happiness is celebrated throughout the world on 20 March. This year’s celebration is under the theme ‘Caring & Sharing’ is to explore the latest research on the importance of benevolence, empathy and trust as vital drivers of both individual and national happiness

This revelation comes after OTEC News’ reporters engaged some of the men in the region as part of activities to mark the International Day of Happiness.

 Established by the United Nations General Assembly in June 2012, the day is marked annually every 20th March and it’s focused on the importance of benevolence, empathy, and trust as vital drivers for individual and national happiness.

The respondents emphasized that it was important to mark such a day and educate the public on the need to stay happy.

Some of the respondents shared their personal stories, highlighting the significance of money in their lives.

 “I am a commercial driver, and I always go out to work for money, so whenever I get money I become happy,” one of them said.

Another respondent, a trader, echoed similar sentiments. “For me, money is everything. With money, I can get all the enjoyment I want, so if you ask me, money is the source of my happiness,” he stated.
