Kumasi: Suspected Armed Robber Lynched at Adum

A suspected armed robber has been lynched by a mob at Adum, in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region ,for allegedly attacking his victim with a knife in an attempt to robb off his mobile phone.
The incident according to witness on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, around 5:00 AM.
Speaking to Opoku Adusei, a student journalist at OTEC School of Journalism and Communication Studies Witness said incident occurred when the suspect, along with two accomplices, attempted to rob a mobile phone from a pedestrian.
According to reports, the robbers ambushed the victim attacked him with knife and stole his phone.
However, their plan was foiled when two of the robbers managed to escape, leaving the deceased at the mercy of the angry mob.
The suspect was subsequently lynched on the spot.
The two other suspects escaped with the stolen item.
Police from the Railway Police Station arrived at the scene to recover the body.
An investigation into the incident is likely to follow.
