Lady Julia inspires school children; urges them to develop self-confidence

Lady Julia Osei Tutu, the wife of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, recently inspired school children to develop self-confidence, emphasizing its crucial role in achieving success and overcoming challenges.

Speaking at the Lady Julia’s Mentorship Masterclass 2025 program, held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, she encouraged the students to believe in themselves, their abilities, and their dreams.

Lady Julia highlighted the importance of self-confidence in shaping their future, stating that it is the key to unlocking their potential and achieving greatness.

She also emphasized that developing self-confidence will have numerous benefits, including;improved academic achievement and performance, improved relationships and social interactions,
increased ability to cope with challenges and setbacks,and also fostered positive self-image and mental well-being.

The program, organized by the Otumfuo II Foundation, was part of the International Women’s Day celebration, with the theme “Accelerate Action: Together We Can Force Women’s Equality”.
Lady Julia’s message was particularly focused on empowering young girls and grooming them for a better future.

Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson,the Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology,also encouraged Women participation in technology, emphasizing the need to do that.
According to her,women remain underrepresented in the industry of technology with least women being professionals in the area of technology.
Speaking at the program,she entreated the public to support women to pursue careers in technology, adding that this will not only bridge the gender gap but also bring diverse perspectives and ideas to the industry.
