Manso Nkwanta MP donates 500 bags of cement to boost Essuowin SHS project

The Member of Parliament for Manso Nkwanta Constituency of the Ashanti Region , Dr. Tweneboah Kodua Forkuo, has donated 500 bags of cement to support the construction of the Essuowin Senior High School project.
The donation is aimed at supporting the vision of Essuowinhene, Nana Akyena Kwagyan Nuama V, to establish a Senior High School that will improve access to quality education for students in Essuowin and surrounding communities.

Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony on Friday, April 17, 2026, Hon. Forkuo emphasized that the project is not intended to replace existing schools within the constituency but rather to strengthen the overall educational system.
“This school is not coming to compete with our existing schools. It is here to complement them and make our educational system stronger,” he said.

He noted that the presence of a nearby school will help improve academic performance, enhance punctuality among students, and increase parental involvement in their children’s education.
“When schools are closer, children get to class on time, parents can easily engage teachers, and performance goes up,” Hon. Forkuo added.
Chairman of the Steering Committee, Mr. Kwame Owusu Nuako, also stressed that the project will not only provide quality education but will serve as a beacon of progress for the Essuowin community.
“This SHS will be a symbol of development for Essuowin. It tells our children that their future matters,” Mr. Nuako stated.
He therefore urged residents and stakeholders to continue supporting the initiative to ensure its successful completion.
“We are grateful for the MP’s support, and we call on everyone to join hands so we finish this project for our community,” he added.
