Mahama celebrates mothers, hails Lordina as “heart of the family”

President John Dramani Mahama has joined Ghanaians in celebrating mothers on Mother’s Day, expressing appreciation for their sacrifices and role in family life.

In a message shared on social media, the President described the day as another opportunity to honour mothers for their love, strength, and contribution to society.

“Today is another opportunity for us to celebrate our mothers. Thank you to you all,” he wrote.

He also used the occasion to pay a personal tribute to his wife, Lordina Mahama, acknowledging her central role in their family.

“To you, Lordina, the kids and grandkids just want to thank you for being the heart and strength of our family. Happy Mother’s Day,” he added.
