Dr Amoakohene praises Ejuramanhene for releasing land for 24-hour economy market

The  Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has commended the Ejurahene Barimah Osei Hwedie II for his commitment to development

The applauds follows  the release of land for the proposed 24-Hour Economy Market and other major government projects in the Ejura Sekyedumase Municipality.

Dr. Amoakohene gave the commendation during a courtesy call on the traditional ruler as part of an official working visit to the municipality.

The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between government and traditional authorities for accelerated development in the area.

Representing President John Dramani Mahama, the Regional Minister expressed government’s gratitude to the Ejuramanhene for making land available for strategic projects.

 “Government is profoundly grateful to the Ejuramanhene for releasing land for strategic projects aimed at transforming livelihoods and boosting economic activities within the municipality,” Dr. Amoakohene stated.

According to him, the proposed 24-Hour Economy Market is expected to create jobs, improve local commerce, and serve as a reliable trading hub for farmers, traders, and small-scale businesses in Ejura and adjoining communities.

He added that the establishment of a Farmers Service Center and other initiatives would support agricultural productivity and improve access to essential services.

Dr. Amoakohene also praised the MP for Ejura Sekyedumase, Hon. Mohammed Barimah Bawa, and Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Rafiw Adam Seidu, for their dedication to the municipality’s growth.

 “Meaningful development can only be achieved through strong collaboration between traditional leaders, government institutions, and the people. Government remains committed to delivering impactful projects that improve the living conditions of citizens,” he emphasized.

The Minister reaffirmed government’s determination to ensure equitable development across the Ashanti Region while strengthening partnerships with traditional authorities to drive sustainable progress.
