Kwadaso: Police arrest ‘ghost’ for looting late friend’s clothes
Residents of Agric in the Kwadaso Municipality, Ashanti Region, were thrown into shock after a woman was caught breaking into the room of her late friend while dressed as a ghost.
The suspect has been identified as Nana Akua, popularly known on TikTok as Mama Gee or Akua Sikapa.
Speaking to OTEC news Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng, residents say the incident occurred on Saturday Evening.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred after neighbors noticed suspicious movement in the room of Mrs. Osei Bonsu, a woman who died a few weeks ago.
Upon entering the room, the residents found Nana Akua, a close friend of the deceased, wearing a white cloth over her head and body.
She was allegedly removing clothes from the deceased’s wardrobe.
They noted Nana Akua claimed her late friend’s spirit had been disturbing her at night.
She alleged that a fetish priest advised her that the only way to stop the hauntings was to take the dead woman’s clothes for a ritual.
However, residents rejected her explanation, raised an alarm, and a crowd quickly gathered at the scene.
The suspect was later handed over to the Kwadaso Police for questioning.
The police say they are investigating to establish her motive and to determine whether she was acting alone.
Meanwhile, community members are calling on the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
