High Court grants 10-day interim injunction against Apostle Safo Kantanka’s funeral
The Accra High Court has granted a 10-day interim injunction restraining former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, from proceeding with the funeral arrangements of her late father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
The order, issued on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, temporarily prevents any funeral-related activities, including burial arrangements, pending the determination of issues before the court.
The injunction means preparations for the burial of the renowned inventor, industrialist and founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission have been put on hold until the expiration of the court order or further directions from the court.
The development follows a legal dispute over arrangements for the funeral of Apostle Kwadwo Safo, whose contributions to Ghana’s religious, scientific and manufacturing sectors have received widespread recognition.
The court is expected to hear the substantive matter within the 10-day period before deciding on the next steps.
