Achiase: Man stabbed to death over land dispute

Residents of Achiase, a community near Aboso in the Prestea Huni Valley Municipality of the Western Region, have been left in shock following the alleged stabbing to death of a man identified as Augustine Boah.

Boah is reported to have been fatally stabbed with a pair of scissors by 24 year-old Kofi Yena, also known as “Pogba,” following a disagreement believed to have stemmed from a dispute over a piece of land in the community.

According to reports, tensions had been building between the two families after Yena allegedly warned the deceased’s son against passing behind their house with his tricycle.

The situation reportedly escalated on Thursday, August 20, when the two men engaged in a confrontation over the issue, during which Yena allegedly attacked Boah with a pair of scissors, inflicting injuries that proved fatal.

Yena has since been arrested and is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
