Constituency Officers pick nomination forms for Sam Pyne as he seeks to Become NPP Vice-Chairperson.

Some constituency officers from the Greater Accra Region gathered at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) national headquarters on Thursday morning to pick up nomination forms on behalf of the former Kumasi Mayor, Hon. Sam Pyne.

The delegation expressed immense enthusiasm as they secured the documents, which they plan to formally present to Mr. Pyne at his residence.

The former Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) is officially entering the race for the position of 1st National Vice-Chairperson of the NPP.

NPP Stalwart:

Described by colleagues as a devoted party loyalist, Sam Pyne’s political journey reflects decades of dedicated service at every level of the party structure:

Grassroots (1992–2000s):

Began his political career in 1992, serving in various operational roles from the polling station level up to the electoral area level.

Regional Executive Leadership:

Served multiple terms as the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NPP, solidifying his reputation as an executive manager and strategic strategist within the party’s primary stronghold.

Local Governance:

Served as the Mayor of Kumasi (KMA Chief Executive), gaining crucial executive and public administration experience.

Background & Expertise:

Mr. Pyne brings a blend of academic background and professional expertise to the national executive race:

A product of St Augustine’s College (Sixth Form) & Wesley College of Education.

Higher Education:

University of Education, Winneba (UEW), University of Cape Coast (UCC), and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)

Vision:

A seasoned party strategist who has regularly trained party communicators and campaign officers during major election cycles, Mr. Pyne aims to transition his experience to the national stage.

Reacting to the news during an ongoing campaign tour of the Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East regions, Mr. Pyne expressed gratitude toward the Greater Accra delegation for their vote of confidence.

In the coming days, Mr. Pyne will submit his forms himself and continue his nationwide campaign tour to engage delegates and present his strategy for the party’s leadership.
