Two-week-old baby found abandoned at Bekwai in the Ashanti Region.

A newborn baby has been found abandoned on at Bekwai in the Ashanti Region after an unknown woman reportedly left the child behind and fled.

The infant was discovered on Thursday morning and is receiving medical care at the Bekwai Government Hospital.

Residents discovered the infant and immediately notified authorities.

The baby was subsequently admitted to the Bekwai Government Hospital for medical care and observation.

Police have launched an investigation to establish the woman’s identity and determine her whereabouts.

Authorities are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that could help identify and locate the woman.
