The Member of Parliament for Tano North, Dr. Gideon Boako, has accused the NDC government of starving Ghanaians of infrastructure development just to keep good economic indicators.
According to him, the government has canceled about 1,800 infrastructure projects in a bid to reduce government spending.
The MP said the decision is depriving Ghana of development and described it as worrying.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Dr. Cash on OTEC FM’s Afternoon Political Show Dwabrem on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
“Not that these 1,800 projects are not important. However, the government says it does not want to spend money because it is targeting a positive primary balance,” he stated.
“Some of the projects include roads, school blocks, feeder roads, hostels for students, hospitals, markets among others,” Dr. Boako added.
“All these projects could have created hundreds of jobs for the youth, but government has canceled all of them,” he said.
Dr. Boako stated that the government is worsening the living conditions of Ghanaians with poor decisions.
