JFK is gateway to NPP’s 2028 victory – Edmund Kyei affirms

Edmund Kyei, former Asokwa NPP Parliamentary aspirant

Edmund Kyei, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) national communication team and former Asokwa parliamentary aspirant, has made a strong appeal to party delegates to overwhelmingly retain the incumbent General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK), in the upcoming national executive elections.

According to Mr. Kyei, securing JFK’s re-election is essential for building a formidable operational machinery capable of reclaiming power in the 2028 general elections.

Experience:

Highlighting the critical role of the party’s chief scribe, Mr. Kyei described the General Secretary’s office as the administrative engine of the NPP, requiring a seasoned strategist with deep institutional knowledge.

“The General Secretary position demands a dedicated party loyalist who has served across multiple levels and truly understands our internal structures,” Kyei stated.

He intimated that, “Justin Frimpong Kodua ticks every box and must be retained to complete the vital work he has started.”

He emphasized that JFK’s track record reflects years of grassroots mobilization and public service:

Regional Mobilization:

Served previously as both Deputy Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer and substantive Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer.

Executive Leadership:

Managed youth development initiatives nationwide as the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) during President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s first term.

National Administration:

Accumulated four years of direct experience at the helm of the party’s national secretariat.

Grassroots Connection:

Mr. Kyei noted that JFK’s four-year tenure as General Secretary provided him with unparalleled, real-time insight into party operations across all 275 constituencies and 16 regions.

This firsthand exposure makes him uniquely equipped to address local challenges and resource party executives ahead of the 2028 campaign.

“When you evaluate the contestants, it is beyond debate that Justin Frimpong Kodua is the most experienced candidate, not simply because he is the incumbent, but because of his proven history within the NPP base,” Kyei added.

He also posited that, “securing victory in 2028 requires JFK’s strategic mindset and administrative competence. I appeal to all delegates who prioritize the party’s success to vote massively for him.”
