CCC impacts Ejisu Municipality with massive health outreach and relief drive

Demonstrating a deep commitment to faith-driven community service, the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) hosted a major medical outreach and humanitarian relief drive over the weekend, benefiting hundreds of residents in Krapa, a suburb of the Ejisu Municipality.

The event was organized under the church’s annual signature initiative, the “October Commission.”

Held every October, the initiative mobilizes CCC congregants and specialized teams, including Media, Outreach, and Medical units, to deliver health services, essential aid, and spiritual support to underserved communities.

High Turnout for Care and Aid:

Residents began gathering at the CCC Agape City Church premises in Krapa as early as 7:00 AM.

Many arrived early to seek medical care before starting their weekend routines, while others joined throughout the morning following business engagements.

In addition to receiving medical consultations, all beneficiaries were provided with essential relief items, including groceries, quality clothing, and prescription medications supplied by the church.

Comprehensive Healthcare Delivery:

To ensure high-quality care, the CCC Medical Team partnered with volunteer doctors, nurses, and healthcare practitioners from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and surrounding facilities.

The medical team offered free screenings and diagnostic assessments across several key areas:

Women’s Health:

Screenings for breast and cervical cancers.

Chronic Disease Screenings:

Monitoring for hypertension, high blood sugar, and diabetes.

General Wellness:

Medical consultations, dental checks, and Body Mass Index (BMI) evaluations.

Health professionals also conducted practical educational sessions on breast self-examinations and urged men aged 40 and above to prioritize routine prostate screenings.

Faith In Action:

Speaking to journalists at the venue, Pastor Joshua Obeng, Resident Pastor of the CCC Main Campus in Ayigya, thanked the residents of Ejisu for their strong participation and praised the volunteers for their selfless dedication.

Pastor Obeng stressed that true Christianity extends beyond sanctuary worship to practical community outreach.

“True Christianity goes beyond building spiritual capacity through the knowledge of Jesus Christ; it requires unleashing those principles for the tangible benefit of society,” Pastor Obeng stated. “It is about exemplifying Christ in word and deed by serving our neighbors with our resources, talents, and gifts.”

He also commended the leadership and members of CCC Agape City in Krapa for establishing the foundation that made the impactful outreach possible.
