The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has questioned Suame Member of Parliament John Darko over an alleged criminal conspiracy linked to an estimated GH¢27 million loss at SIC Savings and Loans Company Limited and subsequently granted him enquiry bail.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, EOCO said Mr Darko honoured its invitation and reported to its office at exactly noon to assist investigators with information relevant to the case.
EOCO described the MP as respectful, cooperative and responsive throughout the investigative process, saying the decision to grant him enquiry bail was based on the circumstances of the case, the applicable law and his level of cooperation with investigators.
EOCO also disclosed that Amma Frimpomaa Dwumah, the former Managing Director of SIC Life Savings and Loans, had honoured its invitation and was cooperating with investigators.
EOCO said investigations were progressing steadily but stressed that no conclusion had been reached regarding the culpability or otherwise of any person connected to the matter.
