Mahama hails Kofi Job as one of Ghana’s best contractors after Tepa-Maban-Goaso road inspection

President John Dramani Mahama has expressed satisfaction over construction works by Kofi Job Construction Limited on the Tepa-Maban-Goaso road project.

The President, after inspecting the ongoing works, described Kofi Job as one of the best road contractors in Ghana.

According to him, 90 percent of contractors working on projects under the Big Push Agenda are local contractors, adding that Kofi Job Construction has vindicated his decision to rely on local firms.

“If you are to count 10 of the best contractors in Ghana, Kofi Job Construction is among them. He has consistently delivered quality projects for the country,” President Mahama stated.

This was when he inspected ongoing works on the 39-kilometre Maban-Goaso road project on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer for Kofi Job Construction Limited, Mr. Kofi Gyebi Job, has hailed President Mahama for his commitment to developing roads under the Big Push Agenda.

He noted that the President has empowered more local contractors under the initiative, a move he applauded.

“Under the Big Push, the President has ensured local contractors are paid to carry out their assigned works, for this we are grateful Mr. President,” Mr. Job said.

He pledged to execute any work government assigns him on time and deliver quality projects.

About the Project

The project started in May 2024 but was migrated onto government’s Big Push Agenda in December 2025, with actual works beginning on January 7, 2026.

The work has been divided into phases, with the first phase being 22 kilometres from Maban, which is currently 93 percent complete.
