Support government to promote safety- Frances Essiam urge Ghanaians

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Miss. Frances Essiam has urged Ghanaians to welcome the directive by the government on Cylinder Re circulation model of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and support him to promote safety in the country.

According to her, the Cylinder Manufacturing Company is embarking on a programme for the local market by expanding warehouses across the country to accommodate all the manufactured cylinders.

“Now we are building our capacity in readiness for the programme, we have imported new machines, we are building warehouses,2017 our work plan and procurement have been Instituted so we are building a capacity for the programme, we are building a capacity for the local market, we are building a capacity for the use of safe cylinders, “she said.

“So we should all it because what happened at the atomic junction as if atomic bomb has come to Ghana, what we are saying is that we should not think about our profit alone a times we should think about the National interest,” Miss Frances Essiam stated.

Ghanaians  are wailing over the high risk supposedly posed by fuel stations around them have been given some reprieve, as President Nana Akufo-Addo has ordered the implementation of the Cylinder Re-circulation Model of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution.

The President expects this and many other directives issued after Thursday’s cabinet meeting, to be implemented within a year.

A statement from the government after the much-anticipated cabinet meeting on Thursday said: “At the Cabinet meeting of 12th October 2017, the President of the Republic, on the advice of Cabinet, directed that henceforth the Cylinder Recirculation Model of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution be implemented.”

This follows the frequent tragic incidences of gas explosions across the country, the latest being the October 7, Atomic Junction gas explosion that claimed seven lives and left 132 injured

Speaking in an interview with OTEC FM’s Kwaku Anane Junior on this development she noted that President Akufo Addo will not compromise on that for that matter Ghanaians should support him.

” what we are saying is that the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo is a man of rule of law so he won’t compromise on that therefore we should support the President and be a participant because that is the way to go, we are moving with the modern trend, ” she reiterated.

Miss Frances Essiam is of the view that the transformation and development of the nation will bring jobs for that matter Ghanaians should follow the rules and regulations.
