2024 Polls:  Support NPP for restoring trainee allowance- Prof.  Kingsley Nyarko to teachers

Professor Kingsley Nyarko, Deputy Minister of Education in Charge of TVET, has urged teachers to show their appreciation for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) restoration of the trainee allowance by voting massively for the party in the 2024 polls.

With the 2024 elections looming, Professor Kingsley Nyarko, Deputy Minister of Education in Charge of TVET, is appealing to teachers to demonstrate their appreciation for the NPP’s reinstatement of the trainee allowance by voting en masse for the party.

Speaking at the 15th congregation ceremony of the Agogo Presbyterian Women’s College of Education, Prof. Nyarko highlighted the significant impact of the restored allowance on trainee teachers and the education sector as a whole.

He noted that the number of trainees has increased from 44,813 in 2016 to approximately 72,258 in the 2021/2022 academic year .

Prof. Nyarko emphasized that the NPP’s commitment to education is unwavering and that the party’s policies have improved learning outcomes in Ghana.

Speaking on behalf of the Minister of Education, Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum, Professor Nyarko encouraged teachers to support the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, and all parliamentary candidates in the upcoming elections.

Held on Thursday October 10, 2024, at the school’s campus at Asante Akyem Agogo in the Ashanti Region, the event saw 445 trained teachers graduating with various honors

The Principal of the School Rev Dr Mrs Grace Sintim Adasi commended the newly trained teachers for successfully completing their 4 year degree course

She urge them to work with honesty, integrity and passion for the job
