A/R: 374 Road Contracts Awarded, 2,145 Kilometers Completed Under NPP Government – Regional Minister
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, has revealed that the NPP government has awarded 374 road contracts in the last eight years, with a total of 2145 kilometers of roads completed.
This makes the Ashanti Region the largest beneficiary of road projects under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration.
According to Hon. Osei Mensah, the NPP government has significantly improved living conditions in the region through massive road projects.
He noted that major roads such as Sofoline-Abuakwa Highway, Kumasi Obuasi Highway, Kumasi-Bosomtwe Highway, and Kumasi-Accra Highway have been developed to boost economic activities.
In addition to these major road works, the Minister emphasized that, other communities and streets in the region have benefited from asphalt overlays, further enhancing living conditions.
The Minister noted that the NPP’s efforts have transformed the Ashanti Region from having the poorest road infrastructure to one of the best in Ghana.
Hon. Osei Mensah emphasized that the government will continue to embark on more road projects to cater to the needs of residents in the region.
This commitment to infrastructure development demonstrates the NPP’s focus on improving the quality of life for Ashanti Region residents.
The NPP’s achievements in the region extend beyond road infrastructure.
