Kumasi: 29-Year-Old MoMo Vendor Killed in Daylight Robbery at Krofrom
A Mobile Money vendor Nimaako Patricia has allegedly been shot dead by two armed robbers in Kumasi- Krofrom in the Ashanti Region.
The devastating incident occurred on Thursday February 13, 2025 about 2pm when the vendor, Miss Patricia, was shot dead by unknown assailants.
According to the reports, the assailants, who had been waiting on a motorbike, attacked Patricia and shot her. Eyewitnesses reported hearing gunshots and attempted to rescue the victim, but the assailants fired another warning shot, scattering the crowd.
The assailants then collected the money from Patricia and fled the scene on the waiting motorbike. Witnesses helped transport Patricia to the Manhyia Government Hospital, where she was pronounced dead by doctors.
The community is in shock, with many residents expressing sadness and sympathy for the victim’s family. The police are yet to launch investigations into the matter.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of mobile money vendors and the community at large.
