Kofi Adu Domfeh Elected Ashanti Regional GJA Chairperson

In a closely contested election, Kofi Adu Domfeh, Senior News Editor at the Multimedia Group’s Kumasi Unit, has been elected as the new Ashanti Regional Chairperson of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).
Domfeh secured 16 votes, edging out his opponent Georgina Ankomah by a single vote.
In his victory speech, Domfeh expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their support and trust.
He pledged to raise the bar of professionalism, protect the integrity of journalists’ work, and prioritize their welfare.
Domfeh’s campaign agenda focused on professional integrity, ethical dignity, and accountability, with a vision to restore the GJA’s credibility and foster a more inclusive media environment.
Domfeh will be joined in the regional leadership by Nicholas Osei-Wusu as Vice Chairperson, Beatrice Spio Gabbrah as General Secretary, and Dr. Neta Kris Abiana Pasram as Treasurer.
The election outcome has been widely welcomed by media practitioners and stakeholders, who are hopeful about the future direction of the GJA under Domfeh’s leadership.
