Founder and Leader of the Ghana Union Government, Akwasi Addai Odike, has described Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum as a “generational thinker” with the vision and character to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory in the 2028 general elections.
Mr Odike made these remarks during an interview on OTEC FM’s afternoon show ‘Dwabrem’ hosted by Prince Nii Ardey, popularly known as Dr Cash, on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
According to him, Dr Adutwum’s tenure as Minister for Education has been unprecedented, citing his transformative policies and dedication to uplifting Ghana’s educational standards.
He praised Dr Adutwum’s unblemished character and described him as a unifier who can rally the party’s rank and file ahead of the crucial 2028 polls.
“The NPP needs a generational thinker like Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum. His record at the Education Ministry speaks for itself.
He has the vision, integrity, and competence to unite the party and secure victory,” Odike stated.
Meanwhile, the NPP has opened nominations for its presidential primaries, which are scheduled to take place on January 31, 2026.
Several prominent figures are expected to contest for the flagbearer position as the party seeks to consolidate its support base and position itself strongly for the next election cycle.
