“Remain Steadfast with Kennedy Agyapong, Don’t Be Deceived By Bawumia Apology”—-Nicholas Donkor Rallies NPP Members

Nicholas Donkor, Deputy Director In-Charge of Policy and Research for Team Kennedy-North America

Mr. Nicholas Donkor, Deputy Director of Policy and Research for Team Kennedy-North America, has cautioned members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against accepting Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s recent, comprehensive apology.

In an interview with this reporter, Mr. Donkor asserted that the apology was insincere and devoid of genuine remorse.

Furthermore, the Deputy Director stated that the apology was delivered collectively rather than as a personal statement from Dr. Bawumia, who led the party’s campaign efforts for the 2024 election.

“I appeal to the NPP rank and file to reject this apology from Dr. Bawumia because it lacks sincerity, personal accountability, and a genuine show of remorse,” Mr. Donkor declared.

Concerns Raised:

Mr. Donkor highlighted that despite possessing significant resources and opportunities to empower party members, the former Vice-President and NPP flagbearer allegedly withheld these advantages.

He noted that initiatives originating from the former flagbearer’s office were reportedly used to benefit only those closely associated with him or those with familial ties.

Mr. Donkor specifically cited the much-publicized Nation Builders Corps (NABCo), launched under Dr. Bawumia’s vice-presidency, as an example.

He stated that Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, a blood relative of the then-Vice President, headed the program.

Dr. Anyars, according to the Deputy Director of Team KEN, paid meager sums to NABCo personnel before ultimately laying them off.

This, he noted left many youth organizers and other party functionaries unemployed for eight years.

A Call to Action:

“Wofa Nico,” as the Deputy Director is affectionately known among friends, urged party members to instead cast their votes for Kennedy Agyapong, enabling him to lead the party into the 2028 elections as flagbearer.

According to Mr. Donkor, the Honorable Agyapong has consistently demonstrated a commitment to creating job opportunities for the youth through the establishment of industries and factories that are currently providing employment.

He revealed that, among other initiatives, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is currently constructing what is projected to be Africa’s largest Ethanol Production Company.

“I humbly ask NPP delegates to grant Hon. Kennedy Agyapong the opportunity to lead the party into the 2028 elections so that he can become the transformational President Ghana truly desires,” Mr. Donkor appealed.
