Ejura Divisional Council Announces Dates, Activities for 2025 Yam Festival

The Ejura Divisional Council has announced the dates for the 2025 Ejura Yam Festival, a week-long celebration aimed at uniting the people, preserving culture, and fostering development in the area.

This year’s festival will focus on youth development, with the theme “Disciplined Youth: Our hope for building a prosperous future.”

The festival will commence on October 4, 2025, with the climax, the grand durbar, coming off on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

The Special Guest of Honor for this year’s festival is Odeneho Okyere Kusi Ntrama, the Essumegya Manhene.

The festival promises to be an exciting celebration of culture, unity, and youth development, and a great opportunity for the people of Ejura to come together and promote their community.

The Ejura Divisional Council in a presser copied to OTEC News on Friday called on all partners and the public to join the event and contribute to the area’s development.

Here’s a rundown of the activities planned for the week:

1. Saturday 4th October, 2025 – Clean-up exercise

2. Tuesday 7th October, 2025 – Health walk (Morning) Health screening (Afternoon)

3. Wednesday 8th October, 2025 – Football Gala

4. Thursday 9th October, 2025 – Tribal Performances (Morning) Performance by Fetish priests (Akom) (Afternoon)

5. Friday 10th October, 2025 – Festival Rites at various Stool houses (Morning) Drumming and Dancing (Afternoon)

6. Saturday 11th October, 2025 – Grand Durbar @ 11:30 am

7. Sunday 12th October, 2025 – Thanksgiving Church Service
