Prestea: Two suspected military officers arrested after failed mining site robbery

Two suspected military personnel and their two civilian accomplices have been arrested by the Prestea Police in the Western Region during an attempt to allegedly rob LongShine Mining Company Limited, a Chinese mine, on Sunday, September 28, at Prestea-Obouhu.

Confirming the incident in an interview with Channel One News’ Akwasi Agyei Annim, on October 1, the Public Relations Officer of LongShine mining, Zion Rootman, said the two suspected military personnel wearing military uniform and two masked civilians invaded their site in a pickup truck.

However, he narrated that they quickly alerted the Prestea Police, who rushed to arrest them in the process and have since been handed over to the Tarkwa Regional Police Command.
