Mourners celebrate legacy of Apostle Safo Kantanka at 40-day observance

Hundreds of mourners and sympathisers on Monday, October 20, gathered at the University of Ghana Sports Complex, Legon, to observe the 40-day remembrance of the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, affectionately known as the “Star of Africa.”

The solemn ceremony, marked by red and black attire, drew a diverse crowd of Ghanaians, including high-ranking politicians, traditional leaders, celebrities, and members of the clergy.

Apostle Safo, who passed away on September 11, was the Founder and Leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission and the visionary behind Kantanka Automobile. His groundbreaking contributions to technology, innovation, and faith have left a lasting legacy in Ghana and beyond.

Amid tributes and emotional reflections, family members, congregants, and well-wishers celebrated his life of service, invention, and spiritual leadership, describing him as a national icon whose impact will continue to inspire generations.

The 40-day observance forms part of traditional and religious rites marking his transition, with final funeral arrangements expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
