A/R: Fire destroys two-bedroom house, five containers at Suame Magazine
A massive fire has ravaged Suame Magazine zone 4 in the Ashanti Region, leaving a trail of destruction and desperation in its wake.
The blaze, which broke out at around 10:30 pm on Sunday November 9, 2025, has destroyed shops, five containers, and a two-bedroom apartment, leaving residents with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
One of the victims, Mr. Emmanuel Otoo, recounted the harrowing experience, saying, “We tried to quench the fire with normal water but it got out of our control and we then called for help from the fire fighters. The fire is not Electric light, but I think someone caused this devastation. I have lost all my properties and the fire has really hurt us.”
The community is in shock, and the cry for help is loud and clear.
Residents are appealing to government authorities and well-meaning Ghanaians to come to their aid and provide support to help them recover from this devastating loss.
