A/R: Hit-and-run driver crashes, injured in collision while fleeing scene

A hit-and-run driver has been involved in a gory accident at Aputuogya in the Ashanti Region, leaving two people battling for their lives.

According to witnesses, the suspect, a female driver, knocked down an auto ricksaw driver with her white Toyota Saloon car and left him in critical condition, but failed to stop.

“We leaned the woman had earlier clashed into the auto ricksaw injuring the driver and was running away,” a witness said.

However, she crashed into a KiA Pregio commercial car with Registration Number As 4246-22, leaving her battling for her life.

“Upon getting to Aputuogya, she clashed into the commercial transport leaving her in critical condition,” another witness noted.

Speaking to OTEC news Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng the witness said the incident occurred on Monday, November 10, 2025.

They noted  both drivers have been rushed to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.

Police in the area have taken over investigation into the accident.
