Daddy Lumba’s funeral: Manhyia palace, family set December 13

The Manhyia Palace, in collaboration with the family of the late music icon Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has announced a new date for the final funeral rites of the legendary musician.
According to sources, the burial date has been rescheduled to December 13, 2025, from the previously announced date of December 6, 2025.
The decision was taken at a meeting between the family and the Asantehene’s Gyaasefekuo at the Otumfuo Saamanhene’s Palace on Monday, November 10, 2025.
A new funeral committee, chaired by the Chief Dadiesoaba, has been formed to oversee the funeral arrangements.
The source revealed that the chiefs have urged all family members to remain calm as they work to ensure a befitting tribute to the late music icon.
Further details on the funeral program according to the family will be announced in due course.
