The Ghana Police Service has received 40 new armoured vehicles to strengthen operational capacity and enhance public safety across the country. The handing-over ceremony took place on Thursday, December 4, and was attended by President John Mahama, government officials, and police leadership.

Addressing officers at the ceremony, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohunu assured that the vehicles would be strategically deployed and properly maintained to achieve their intended objectives, commending the government for its intervention.

IGP Yohunu emphasised that the new vehicles would significantly enhance the Service’s ability to respond to emergencies, secure communities, and maintain law and order.
