Daddy Lumba’s maternal family, first wife missing at funeral rites

The maternal family and first wife of the late music icon Daddy Lumba are noticeably absent at his final funeral rites at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

As of reporting, Akosua Serwaa (wife), sisters Ernestina Fosu, Georgina Gyamfi, and uncle Yaw Poku hadn’t arrived.

This follows the maternal family’s failed attempt to secure an injunction on the funeral proceedings.

Thousands of mourners have gathered to pay respects to Daddy Lumba, lying in state at Heroes Park in Kumasi.

Fans from across Ghana converged early morning to honor the legend.
