OTEC FM Newsroom pays tribute to late news anchor Nana Akwasi Owusu Achiaw

The newsroom at OTEC FM has paid a heartfelt tribute to their late colleague, Nana Akwasi Owusu Achiaw, who passed away on December 26, 2025.

In a statement signed by News Editor Mr. John Antwi Boasiako and Deputy News Editor Nana Kwadwo Appiah, the newsroom described Nana Akwasi as “a source of warmth, dedication, and quiet strength”.

“Nana Akwasi Owusu Achiaw was more than a co-worker but he was a source of warmth, dedication, and quiet strength. His kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help others touched every one of us,” the statement read.

The tribute also highlighted Nana Akwasi’s excellent work ethic and his ability to carry himself with grace, encouraging others and bringing excellence to his work.

 “We will remember the way he carried himself with grace, the encouragement he offered, and the excellence he brought to his work,” the statement added.

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Ashanti branch also expressed deep sorrow over his passing, describing it as a great loss to journalism in the region.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant comfort and strength to all who mourn his loss,” the GJA statement concluded.
