The Ashanti Regional Police Command has warned unqualified applicants to stay away from the ongoing recruitment screening at various centers.

The process, which began Monday January 12, 2026,at the Police Training School in Patasi, is for personnel with medical qualifications, degree and HND holders, and skilled workers.

According to DSP Godwin Ahianyo, Ashanti Regional Police PRO, about 2,000 personnel have been screened so far.

In an interview with OTEC News, DSP Ahianyo said the first phase ends Wednesday, paving the way for the next phase for WASSCE holders.

“We’ve put measures in place to avoid crowding,” Ahianyo told OTEC News.

Additional centers – WESCO, Kumasi Sports Stadium, Kumasi Jubilee Park, and Chirapatere Bus Terminal – will be used Thursday for WASSCE holders.

Ahianyo described the first day as smooth, thanks to group segmentation, and urged qualified personnel to attend with their scheduled dates.

Some applicants praised the screening process, calling it one of the best they’ve witnessed.

The police urge unqualified applicants to stay away and maintain order.
