President Mahama to inspect Suame Interchange, other projects this February-Minster tells Otumfuo

President John Dramani Mahama has informed the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, that he will personally visit the ongoing works on the Suame Interchange and other landmark projects in the region.

 The visit, scheduled for the month of February , aims to assess the progress of work and explore ways to accelerate the projects.

Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene announced this on behalf of the president during the first Akwasidae festival of the year on February 1, 2026.

“The president has asked me to inform you that he will personally visit the region within this month to see major road projects, including the Suame Interchange,” Dr. Amoakohene said.

The minister highlighted the government’s efforts to address traffic congestion in Kumasi’s Central Business District, citing the ongoing work on the outer Kumasi ring road as part of the Big Push project.

 He emphasized that the president’s visit will provide an opportunity to share more details about the project.
