Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has eulogized former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for their dedicated service to Ghana.
Speaking at the NPP National Delegates Conference at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Dr. Bawumia said the social interventions introduced by the two former leaders will never be forgotten.
He mentioned the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), School Feeding Programme, Free Maternal Care under President Kufuor, and Free Senior High School under President Akufo-Addo, among others.
According to Dr. Bawumia, these interventions have transformed lives, expanded access to education and healthcare, and laid a strong foundation for Ghana’s development.
He noted that the NPP has a proud record of implementing policies that directly impact the ordinary Ghanaian, unlike its opponents.
Dr. Bawumia called on party members to be proud of the party’s legacy and to remain united to build upon the solid foundation laid by former Presidents Kufuor and Akufo-Addo.
