NDC opens nominations for national executive elections October 20

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will open nominations for its 2026 National Executive Elections on Tuesday, October 20, with aspirants given until Wednesday, October 21, to submit their nominations.

In a press release dated Friday, October 16 and signed by Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, the party said the nomination process would begin at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday and close at 5:00 p.m. the following day, in line with its electoral timetable released on August 5, 2026.

The party encouraged members seeking to contest the various national executive positions to take advantage of the nomination window and complete the process within the stipulated period.

The NDC said payments for nomination forms and filing fees must be made exclusively through its online portal, forms.ghanandc.com, using Mobile Money across all networks or Visa and Mastercard.

It cautioned that payments through banks and bank drafts would not be accepted. The party also stated that aspirants, proposers, seconders and endorsers must be members in good standing and have fully paid their membership dues.

Members with outstanding dues have been directed to settle their arrears through the USSD code *920*25# or the party’s website, ndc.org.gh/dues.

“The Party urges all aspirants and members to conduct themselves with discipline, decorum and respect for the Party’s democratic values throughout the electoral process.

“The Party counts on the full cooperation and support of all members to ensure a transparent, peaceful, orderly and successful electoral process,” the statement concluded.
