The Momo Fintech Limited has reiterated its commitment to protecting customers and partners through high end technology.

According to the company, it will work to ensure that saving, sending and receiving money on mobile phones becomes more secured and easier.

As part of its efforts, the company organized the MoMo Fintech Lab Competition, which seeks to pitch ideas and solutions to solve existing problems in the Fintech industry and protect customers.

The competition, held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in the Ashanti Region on Friday, October 30, 2026, saw seven contestants, namely QWEBE, ATINAH, EASY PAID, SUSU VAULT, SHIFT BOOK, FA ME KO CAMPUS and WELLFARE HUB.

WELLFARE HUB emerged as the ultimate winners after the contest.

Speaking to OTEC News on the sidelines of the event, the Manager for Mobile Money Communication and Stakeholder Management, Afia Serwaa Asafo-Adjei, said the aim is to make Fintech solutions easy for the youth.

“We want to take advantage of technology, make business easier for all,” she said.

“So we called on all who can design solutions in the Fintech sector and support them to make it work.”

“Already our earlier competitions have seen massive success, with those selected at the northern zone coming up with pragmatic solutions that have been refined.”

She revealed that the company will organize a national competition after the zonal ones, where the winner will be rewarded with 100,000 Ghana cedis, plus a laptop, phone and a tablet.

She assured that the best individuals and groups who pitch practical ideas and solutions will be given the platform and all the support needed to push them in the industry.
