( PHOTOS) How Ebony Reigns died in gory accident at Bechem
Mankraso Government Hospital’s morgue, in the Ahafo North-South district of the Ashanti region, has confirmed in their possession of the mortal remains of Ghanaian dancehall musician Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, known in showbiz circles as Ebony, who was involved in an accident early hours on Friday, February 9, 2018.
Otec News’ sources from the morgue said the musician, alongside a soldier and a civilian, were brought to morgue with the head of the military officer head crushed, and Ebony, with a deep cut on her head.
The sources also said the bodies were first sent to the Bechem Government Hospital morgue, but had to be sent to Mankraso Government Hospital’s morgue because of unavailability of space.
It was reported that the accident happened at Nyamebekyere, a village near Bechem in the Brong Ahafo region, after visiting her family in Sunyani.
Information available to us indicates Ebony was returning to Accra to make preparations for a trip to America.
Ebony was on board a Jeep car with registration number AS 487-16 when it was involved in a head-on collision with a VIP bus.
Two other military occupants were rushed to the Bechem Government Hospital for treatment but were shortly confirmed dead by medical officers.
She was noted for songs like ‘Poison’, ‘Hustle’, and many other hits.
